You will find my story in the Old Testament, which records the physical and spiritual path of my life. My treacherous ways set into motion a string of events. I fled my home, married sisters, wrestled an angel, and finally reconciled with my family and with God. How much of my story do you remember? If you can answer the questions on my test, I will reward you with a map of the island. How you navigate your spiritual life depends on your relationship with God.

If you answered at least thirteen questions correctly, you won a map of the island.
As you learned, I began life thinking treachery was the way to get what I wanted. But God protects His servants in spite of themselves.
God disciplined me, and believe me, that was no fun! First, He allowed me to be the victim of deception. He wrestled with me in the desert. And He allowed me to live in fear of my brother. Thankfully, Esau proved himself to be a bigger man than I. My brother forgave me.
After my trials, I emerged victorious and spiritually mature. In hindsight, I'm grateful for His discipline.

Behold! I see someone I recognize.
I wish you well on the next test.

Think about His will for your life.

He shall
redeem their soul from deceit and violence:
and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
Psalm 72:14

Homekeeper’s Journal ~ Tuesday, May 25th

What’s cooking in my kitchen this week is …… not really sure yet! :D

The one thing that needs to be done the around here the most is …… there's a lot that needs to change here, in a lot of different areas!

If someone went through my trash, they’d think …… "wow, these people drink a lot of milk." We have six gallons in the fridge right now.

A memory of mine that involves the smell of vanilla …….is baking my Christmas cookies with my cousins and granny.

My mind keeps on wandering back to …….My relationship with God, and how I can help it grow stronger!

I need God’s grace to …..for everything in my life! Where would I be without God? Lost, hopelessly lost.

Something that I am anticipating is ……God moving in my life. I know something BIG is about to happen! Thank you Lord!

Giveaway at While I'm Waiting

I found another give away, from the blog While I'm Waiting
This book is for men, But if your a girl you could enter for your brother, father, or any other male in your life! :D Good luck!

"Today's society has emasculated men and brought the standard of manhood to mere ruins. Rarely can you find a man who truly understands what God created men to be.

Aside from a whole generation of men that no longer embrace masculinity, those men, who are now fathers are not teaching their sons what God intends for them. It is an epidemic that has been brought to the attention of John Eldredge who wrote the book Wild at Heart to help men re-claim their God-given masculinity. This book has been simply incredible inspiration to me, and perhaps the most influential book I have read with the exception of the Bible.

NOTE: This book is NOT  for young ladies. It deals with some personal "guy stuff" and is not appropriate for girls, although, wives, and mommas to boys, I would greatly encourage to read this book in order to catch a glimpse of the masculine heart.
HOWEVER, I would encourage girls out there to enter for your brother or dad who could greatly benefit from reading this inspiring book =)"
