Chocolate Chip Cookies


Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter

  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 pkg. (12oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Pre heat the oven to 375. Beat the butter and sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer until smooth. Beat in vanilla, egg and baking soda. Stir in the flour until blended. Stir in chips. Drop mixture by heaping tbsps, 2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
This recipe makes a lot of dough! So be prepared for a lot of cookies! My family loves these cookies and they always go fast! Enjoy!
